I'm sure if (& that's a big IF) he gets signed by Bremen, he won't see much game time. If he is that hell bent on not coming back to Australia, he'd be better off trying out with smaller clubs. I mean come on.... Arsenal, Porto, Bremen???
Why does he bother with these big teams? he's good but not that good....
Good luck to him - its good for Australian football....but a concern that he has not impressed someone enough to secure a contract - it suggests that he is aiming too high based on his ability
Also everyone please have a look at W.B's squad on wikipedia, i.e. defenders in the squad??? Can't see Milligan getting game time.. Probably loaned out to Division 2, club or Reserves would be O.K. for a year to see how he copes with German football
What a clown. He obviously has an agent who can set him up on these kind of trials, but he simply isnt good enough. Wasting his time.
"He is a young, interesting player who weve had an eye on for some time and he recently performed well at the Olympic Games"....!!!!
I'd say he's in for sure. Clearly no-one at this club watched a single minute of him playing at the Olympics if they think he was anything but the single biggest embarrassment of the whole Australian squad!
Gotta say, is Milligan the thickest player going round, or is his "manager" a hypnotist? I hope I am wrong, but from the outside, Milligan's activities since he left SFC look like a documentary video called, "What not to do as an aspiring pro footballer". Previously I have excused Millsy on the grounds that his "manager" is completely laughable. But now they look like one of those sad alcoholic couples who just can't leave each other, even as their lives disolve down the urinal. "No, don't go Millsy, theres still 3 more clubs in Europe you haven't trialled for yet". "Yeah, I can still be a contender."
this guy has been linked with more jobs than paris hilton.
If beechy can make in the Germany then Milligan won't have a problem
Bundesliga suits Millsy most. Good for his game development. Fingers crossed.
