Cheers

e really need a win tomorrow to give our season a kick up the arse
having modric will be a real boost, and the germans will fear rafa, i'd say we go 4-5-1 and make sure we don't lose, defoe is a huge loss, we could've done with his pace and goalscoring prowess but we have super pav who always comes good when we need him and i think he can lead the line well in germany, mertesacker and naldo are both hurt which will be a big loss for them
id be happy with a draw, just hope we dont play the long ball game.
od help us, this honestly feels like the Uefa cup days a couple years back when we struggled in the league and struggled in europe. Crouch should start for sure, midfield picks itself with Mod back in the middle with Hudd but Corluka concerns.
I would honestly start with Crouch and Keane up front in a 4-4-2. Crouch has some good Champions League experience and he always turns up and performs well in big games. This will be very hard i reckon, Bremen are a decent side and always have good runs in European competitions it seems. Palacios at the moment is really off the boil so i think i would start Krancjar in the middle next to Huddlestone to add some creativity. Good to have King back for Tuesday after being rested. Tough game, but this is what the Champions League is about!
This is a chance for us to put down a real marker in this group, lets show the other teams we mean business..we can go here and win!....Bremen are pretty poor defensively..add in the fact that their two first choice centre backs Mertesacker and Naldo are out injured....that puts things in our favour already.
If we can get through the first 20 minutes...silence the crowd....get our passing game going..i just think we will have to much for them.
Roll on tomorrow night!
nteresting to note - Mertesacker and Naldo are both injured for Werder Bremen, so they are short defensively and Silvestre made his debut for them at the weekend against Bayern. If he has to play 1) he's s*** and we can skin him for pace 2) he might not be fully fit and knakcered after weekend so could be even shiiter !
Pizarro is also struggling to make it.
Hopefully, we can overwhelm the old man Frings with pace as well.
Two players that have the ability to damage us Marko Marin who is a young and an ultra tricky winger and Marko Arnautovic who is a Dzeko type striker that spent a season at Inter before going to Werder Bremen.
With Bremens defence, we need to take advantage with pace, pressure and out-jumping
Thats why I think we should have:
Cudicini
Corluka King Gallas BAE
Huddlestone
Lennon Bale
VDV
Keane Crouch
Ansonsten hört man Aussagend as Modrics Verletzung nicht so wild sein soll oder er definitiv nicht spielen kann.
